I have an old dustbin which is nicknamed 'slughell' its full of rubble, son's cigarette butts and dead slugs/snails (queue evil laugh music)

It's funny how I thought"it's less slugs this year"-blaming the winter-I think the hedgehog has sorted them out in some way.I haven't got a problem squishing the pests-like slugs, wireworms or vine weevils-it's either them or MY veg. It's pickng up that makes me squirm

I havent seen any bugs around, but I do have one strange "pleasure"! Since Ive had my girls, I now go around on dark, wet nights and collect any slugs lurking in the garden. The girls really appreciate them with their breakfast!
PS For those of you who dont know - my girls are chickens :-)
