  • Use for old whisky barrow pot rings

Any ideas if these could be of any use?

Was doing some gardening at church and we threw out a whisky barrow that had fallen to bits, but now thinking I might go rescue the rings that hold it together as I might find a use for them.

    thanks

went back and rescued them last night from bin - church a bit isolated so don't think anyone saw me "stealing" something from the bin!

Could they be easily cut in half to provide arches for fleece, netting etc?
    Today's mistake is tomorrow's compost...

Could probably cut them in half if had the right gear.

Had a search online and only came up with making spinners for the garden, or like I had thought a ring to put plants in.

or keep them as circles and tie them to 3 or 4 spaced uprights ( cane etc) as supports? make an pair of ornamental t-pee supports, staggering the sixe- bigger at bottm and smallest hoop at top.

I use anything like that to pop discrete veg types in, like a salad bar, or a pea shoot area, or spinach, or spring onions etc. I have a few of these around the lottie and the garden, it also means Mr Z doesn't weed there as he has strict instructions to leave well alone!

how about a mobile/ bird scarer? suspend one from above, on 4 spaced wires, so it is horizontal, and hang old cd's off of it? or suspend all three together on thier sides , so that the tops edges are together, but the bottoms of the circles are all differing hieghts, with the smallest topmost to center, and suspend glittery things off of it at varying hieghts to catch the light, and make a tinkling noise. or turn it into an astroglobe shape and suspend it with a plant in the center?
