Sir Terry Leahy CEO for Tesco said when interviewed that they remain politically neutral and that is why they did not sign up to the NI contributions petition which Tory supporting companies did a few weeks back.

The Lib Dem bod, Nick Clegg, was at an Asda near Harrogate yesterday apparently. And Labour have been at other Tesco stores. So they must all think it's a good way to bag floating voters.

Numbers, votes, votes, numbers, votes & numbers.

Wikipedia says....It is the largest British retailer by both global sales and domestic market share, with profits exceeding £3 billion, and the third largest global retailer based on revenue.....

They need as many votes as possible and where would you go to get such a condensed collection of potential voters. Also read somewhere that stay at home ladies and young adults are the current target of politicians as they don't tend to vote or not have already formed strong political opinions.

Ain't no-one political at our local store.

As far as I am aware there is nothing within the staff quaters, at least not at our store to say they are supporting Labour or any other come to that. Might just be a local thing.

I received a pretend-handwritten letter from Cllr Damian Walker of Hull's Lib' Dem' party today.
In it he says, "I and the Lib Dem team have really [sic] calling round local homes".
Well you know what I'm like, that typo put me right off.

That and the fact that it says, "I am proud to come from Hull .. I grew up locally on De La Pole Avenue .. It has...", with all the extra spaces in and missing fullstops. Smells to me like they just mail merge a different street name into the gap for every road they deliver down.

I hate typos in professional documents, and I hate being lied to, so they've basically lost my vote in the locals.

All politicians are liars. The only decision we have to make tomorrow is which set of lies will do least harm!

No No No. I'm not one to tell people what to do, but I couldn't bring myself to vote for someone I don't like. That's worse than not voting in the first place.
What if your choice of candidates were:
                                Saddam Hussein
                                Mao Zedong
                                and
                                Dr Shipman

Who would you vote for then? "Well I suppose Shipman killed the least so he gets my vote!"
You wouldn't vote for any I'd guess. So why do people feel compelled to vote for someone they 'dislike the least'?

Sorry, didn't meant to rant AT you, I just hear this from people all the time. Shouldn't we be voting for the 'BEST' candidate rather than the 'NOT THE WORST'?

                                End rant.
