Last week was helping chum cut their very high hedge - laurel, French favourite, about 4 metres high on the down side of the ditch, working off a secured ladder when the ladder BROKE, not slipped and flipped me off. Landed on the broken bit, flat on the ground, fell about 3 metres.
Badly bruised, a few cuts and a very painful wrist, which took the full weight.
Went to hospital yesterday, had an XRay and voila, broken wrist, torn ligament thingies and now in a cast!
The good thing is the weather is so bad, can't work in the garden anyway! Bad thing is, I may be in this bloody cast for up to a month and didn't realise how important having a thumb and fingers which touched each other can be. Bugger bugger bugger
