Oh.... panties! Tony. That's a real cr**py thing to happen Although, on the bright side, it could have been loads worse - that's quite a fall!

Yes, it does sound like you got away with a relatively minor injury, even though it's quite ghastly. Get well soon.

Sorry to hear about the break and the ligaments, excuse the pu but what a bad break when you did everything so safely

I just hope someone in the family knits, from what I remember about breaking Limbs is that you always get an itch about half an inch further than you can reach under the cast, Knitting needles are perfect scratching sticks, becareful not to lose in the cast. I never lost one myself but my father had to explain to the nurses why he had 2 knitting needles in his cast when he had his cast removed after recovering from a ruptured Achilles tendon.

I hope your recover is good and fast

Know the feeling well Tony. Broke my left wrist the year I joined the vine, 2 years ago this April. It was smashed up and is now plated. It's a real b****r and as has been said you really don't realise how much you use your hands and fingers.
Now causing me problems due to age and arthritis so as has also been said make sure you get lots of physio.
Off to the doctor's this week to see if he can refer me back to get the problem sorted.
Take care and a speedy recovery.
