We've just been: the polling station was much busier than I've ever seen it

I voted just before 6 because I wanted to watch The Simpsons lol, and I made a mistake on my form put a tick instead of a cross, I asked for another one and that was that.

A tick should have been fine, Roadcar, as long as your voting intention was clear.

I voted at lunchtime, then came home and ate leftovers from last nights chinese to take the bad taste out of my mouth.

Yep done it with my OH and it was the busiest I have seen it too - maybe I normally go at a different time, and not straight after work... Am doubting my choice now, even though its petty assured round here.

Id quite like a 1st and 2nd option.

We had local ones too - did most people?

I did a tick and consulted with my Mum who said it should have been an X, so I made an attempt at an X and it just went badly wrong lol.

It was funny - OH thought that our voting cards had been duplicated by mistake. He was going to ask if we'd been given 2 votes, he didn't realise it was local and national!

Yes, we did. Only two choices for that one though, it were a no-brainer

I wonder if this is going to be a record turn out? My daughter surprised me in that she and her husband are going to vote and I'm sure it's the first time and she's 37!

I read today that a tick is ok, so long as it is clear which option you are voting for - according to a BBC web article anyway. Think its only if you write something, sign your name or it looks like you have voted for more than one option that there is a problem.
