Lets hope they don't get any ideas and start selling roadkill.
they'd sell their grannies, if they could....
Tell me about it ! I don't work for them, but for companies that pay a premium to be put in the correct promotional location. Most of the Managers are a holes with a tiny exception.
I think they may be organising the planogram for roadkill as we speak ! Maybe next to the Granny Module
You have to loose sight of the shore sometimes to cross new oceans
I would be a perfectionist, but I dont have the time
Yes Jeanied its a small plot. Hence i was wondering about other options. (but apparently its a ridiculous notion).. I have a reasonably large patio too and got around 20+ growing sacks on special in the loft ready. So when inflation starts (which it will) i shall be ordering 2 tonnes of soil to fill them up with for the season after when we hit hyper inflation.
As for place im in West Midlands.
From what im gathering ive got
fruit trees
fruit bushes
perrenial herbs.
Jerusalem artichokes
Rhubarb
+ anything that can be foraged.. Ive got a book or 2 on it incase i need them so im good there.. Air rifle for small game.. And money ready to rush out and fill the boot with tins.. + 2 good water filter systems.
I guess i cant do much else.. I cant afford a small holdings/farm, and although i would like an allotment. PPl will empty them quicker than wildfire.
Its just a pity there are no root vegetables that are self-germinating or whatever the term is..
anyway good luck to you all and your families, were in for a bumpy ride.
Im off to build base camp in never never land and make a spare tin foil hat for my friend timmy the toon. Thanks for your help! (those that did)

With the best will in the world, your soil will 'tire' after a season or two. You'll need a regular source of compost or manure to maintain productivity.
Newmannewy I think one of your best bets is the beans - I read you aren't too keen on them - but if you like baked beans you can grow drying beans - you will need quite a few to dry and keep you going over winter but there are several of us who use them. You should consider the drying, freezing and bottling/ canning methods of preservation too.
If Bear Grylls is to be believed, there's a whole world out there of things to eat, except it seems that in order to eat it you have to do that horrible, open mouthed, crunchy munchy lip smacky chewing noises whilst putting on the worst face ever, rather than doing what any normal human being would do - hold your nose, chuck it in, chew it if you really have to and swallow it as quickly as possible!
Get learning BG-esque skills like flinging yourself in a lake with a handmade spear to catch fish and using a snake skin to recycle your own 'liquid waste' for when the water reserves get contaminated....bleh, what a horrid notion!

I am proud to now know what a planogram actually is [but I have a faint suspicion I could guess at it].
It's all corrupt and if it isn't corrupt - then it sucks. That's my take on it - all of it.
[What were we actually talking about again....???]

I imagine he knows where to find plenty of cr*p?
To see a world in a grain of sand
And a heaven in a wild flower
