I've been suffering with pain in my hands and wrists for 3 years now. Well I've been advised to have bi-lateral carpal tunnel release. Has anyone had this done? I've been told I could be out of action for up to 6 weeks I can hear the weeds laughing.

Oh, good luck Bex.
I had one hand done last June - it galvanised me to put up a 'help wanted' card in the newsagent and lo and behold - all my problems sorted!
I now have help on the lottie and it has never looked better.Whooops - now what are the dogs getting up to?

A friend of mine at work had both wrists done (at different times!) last year and said it was such a relief. She was out of action for about the same time that you've mentioned, but said it was well worth the inconvenience to have the pain go away. Hope it goes well for you.

Mum in law has had both done - one at a time. She had got to the stage where she couldn't knit (her favourite hobby) and eventually couldn't sleep without hanging the ofending arm out of bed. Worked miracles. She watched them do it too - said it was fascinating.
At least you aren't going under the hammer!Whoever plants a garden believes in the future.

jackiej had it done, I think it was last year. Sounded like it was a tad frustrating, but 6 weeks soon passes.
Will you be having it done to both hands at the same time?
Might be a good idea to recruit a lottie helper now, so you can teach them how to wield a hoe Or start mulching everything you can with straw/newspaper/card?!
