Was at my daughters house on Friday night, and 2 granddaughters went up to bed.
4 adults downstairs (2 of them new to the grandkids) making some noise, laughing and joking etc.
About an hour after they went up, the youngest one, aged 3, comes back downstairs into the front room.
"Mummy, my big sister cant sleep because there's a really strange noise and she doesnt know what it is and she's scared."
"What sort of noise?"
"Its sort of like beep beep beep" (in really high pitched voice)
My daughter gave various possible explanations of what it could be, but none of them satisfied the 3 year old, who is busy staring round the room at the 2 new people in the house.
My daughter goes back upstairs to sort out the problem and comes down again about 5 minutes later laughing her head off.
She got the younger one back into the lower bunkbed and then asked for silence to find this strange noise.
Initially nothing, but then she definitely hears a high pitched "beep beep beep." She's thinking its a toy not turned off so scrabbles about under the bed, but the noise appears to be above her.
She looks on the bottom bunk, where younger grandchild is lying flat on her back, mouth opening and closing very slightly, saying "beep beep beep" in a high pitched whisper.
