  • What would you bring back?

There seems to be a wave of 80's reminiscing of late. There was a programme on the tellybox t'other night "The Grumpy Guide to the 80's", they remade Clash of The Titans recently, they've made an A-Team film, Nightmare on Elm Street (which my pal and I are going to watch tomorrow) has been re-made, along with Tron and there's a film called Hot Tub Time machine where they travel back to the 80's - starring one of my 80's heroes, John Cusack.

I don't know what it is - but it's seemingly 80's mania at the moment.

I love a number of 80's films - Weird Science, Ferris Buellers Day Off, The Breakfast Club etc etc.

My kids as teenagers - I might make a better job of it this time! (Although they've turned out brilliant people - in spite of us I think!)

The term is no longer "remake" apparently it got a bad name so got remade to "re-imagining".

You forgot "V" in your list HW Now that gave me a shock when seeing the huge poster for it. Just goes to show the lack of imagination nower days in the entertainment industry.

With the "A-Team" thing it does make me wonder. Will anyone actually get killed this time around? It always amazed me as a kid how no-one get hurt or killed with all those explosions and bullets flying around.

What would I bring back? Nothing really. They had their time in the 80s and look pretty naff now.

I did watch the show and noticed a glaring omission. How dare they forget about the Atari 800XL or the C64. All that time with screeching and warbling coming from the TV as you waited for a game to load from tape and having to be there to turn it over if it was a double sider. Oh memories......

Nothing, don't look back and all that! Also was a teenager in the 80s, why would I want to be reminded of that?

Some of us live in the past, always talking about back then. Some of us live in the future, always planning what we are going to do. And, then there are those, who neither look behind or ahead, but just enjoy the moment of right now.

Which one are you and is it how you want to be?

I was going to say 'hanging' then I re-read the question.

Bring back Why Don't You?, and Metal Mickey, and Eldorado (or was that the 90s?) and Heart to Heart, oooh and dallas and dynasty2 the colbys - tops!
