Yup, there's clean water available and I'm going to bring up a couple of our brewing barrels so that we don't have to keep filling things up.

Even if our 2 WERE friendly to other dogs, I'd still have them on leads anyway!
We've got a huge stake/peg that gets hammered into the ground, and 2 long leads (about 1.5-2m each) and they get put on those... as long as they can see where I am, generally they're not bothered. The stake is pretty strong to hold 10 stone of dog

Whatever they do, there's no way they can be a worse PITA than Pads... She'll be clamped to my side the whole time because if she isn't she'll howl and whine and carry on like a great big baby I expect she'll end up going home with Jez so that I don't commit a murder

We've just been packing too, got it all in the car just before the rain started. Its now pouring hard and I've got to go out to water the greenhouse before Son No1 takes over. We are taking Kissykit and Son No2 to Alton Towers, staying in BB Thurs night, then coming over for Friday. The long range forecast doesn't look too bad, but I think warm clothes might be needed. We haven't got room to bring food, so will have to go shopping once we arrive. I've packed some seeds for swap; some bog standard herbs and several varieties of chillies; as well as some jam. I hope someone has some strawberry to swap for plum (with or without chilli ).I could not live without a garden, it is my place to unwind and recover, to marvel at the power of all growing things, even weeds!
Now a little Shrinking Violet.

It will definitely be chilly at night, so fluffy jammies and extra blankets are on my list
I will have enough tomatoes and new potatoes for everybody for at least one meal, I think.
We've bought 3 bags of charcoal for the ordinary bbq, firelighters and lighting gel for the campfire and bbq, loads of spare batteries for our big torch and the little LED lights for the loos (they don't have any inside them). Got oil for our storm lantern too. A longish extension lead to run the bouncy castle from and some bat and ball games for the kids.
Just about to head round to the butchers to give him our order to collect on Friday
