  • Nah we will all be chatting nineteen to the dozen once we all get going. We should have a ' I am ' gathering where we introduce ourselves just to get the ball rolling. I dont mind starting it off. Just wish others could make their minds up if they are coming with me. One minute they are, the next their not.

OWG..better than my oh who told his mum that I was off to meet a bunch of nutters I'd met on the net Maybe I should stop reading out all the funny bits?

By the way that actually isn't an insult coming from him as he reckons we are a pair of fruitcakes.

                  • Bummer I guess you couldn't both eat something really dodgy on Friday night...

Anyway, it'll probably rain, and we'll all end up huddles in the barn round a patio heater, wishing that we had done it in May. And all the cars will get stuck in the field, and I'll spend the next 2 months filling in the wheel ruts after a tractor has dragged them out...

Oh yeah, that's just my nightmares seeping out

                    • Getting close now has anyone come up with a requirement list yet. I am also wondering how the food arrangements are going to work, is it a group BBQ on Sat & Sun night and if so what do you want grapes to bring. Or is it a community BBQ but you each cook your own??

                      • I've managed to source a biggish barbecue, and will also be bringing ours along with an ordinary gas stove. Apart from that, there are no plans

I did list our local butcher on the info PM, and I'm happy to collect from them on Saturday morning if anyone wants to order over the phone. Communal shopping though... I'm not sure how that would work?!

                        • I think its best if everyone brings enough food for themselves and its all cooked on the bbq together by one or two peeps, if anyone has anything special for them its easy enough to keep it seperate.
My OH is vegetarian and we will have a double gas ring for any one who is veggie, it must be kept seperate.
