1c, wow. Here was me moaning about 11c when we camped last weekend (and we were cold, and the sleeping bags were damp)

Well, I had put the wrong postcode into t'satnav....so it took a while.
GREAT to see so many Grapes....and really good to meet new ones.
Next time; further south please. Somewhere where we can laze about, and seed swap properly.....without having to hold everything down all the time. T'was windy.
I suspect some will be on tomorrow after a jolly good night's kip.
Meanwhile, I need food

Just wanna say a huge and happy thankyou to sarah for all the very hard work that went into grapestock. It was lovely to put faces to names, abit like a huge blind date!! What a great bunch of folks. Big hugs to you all!!
Really enjoyed meeting everyone, especially in such a beautiful place. Real shame about the weather, I think it took 5 adults and a couple of kids to help hold our tent down while it was pegged in !!! At least it kept dry for the nite time social! Local weather siad winds were over 50mph!! Still us growers are made of hardy stuff!!
Sorry I missed some of you, maybe next year! Thankyou for the lovely cherry jam sarah, and the plum ann. jon has already plundered the plum and is singing its praises. For any one that fancied the christmas chutney, although made at the start of august this year, it is a quick maturing one and ready now. Nice added to stews and graveys, called christmas cos its from a christmas recipe book.
Have a couple of photos will try to post later. Loved you guys . Feel free to pm me if ever you are passing leeds way xx

Shame we misssed you Andrea and Bernie, but it was a baptism of fire - well water, wind and cold actually.
Sarz - you are a legend.
Lynda - you're a loon.
Ollie - you mad axe-weilding fool!
Really good to see everyone, sorry we couldn't stop longer, but we needed to get back, get Bean settled (he's just gone down like a log) and get everything washed and dried ready to sleep in tonight.
We're showered, dressed and warmed. Indian is on order, wine is poured and we're beginning to feel human again.
Must have slept about 1-2 hours last night (both LadyWayne and I), but Bean was really good - did us proud and slept through the lashing rain, howling gails and cold temperatures.
Would have loved to have mingled a bit more - but it was a bit tricky with Bean being as far away from the "action" centre - with Lynda on fire duty.
We all really enjoyed it, and Sarz you did a great job - a really beautiful spot with views to die for. "Like being on Emerdale" according to LadyWayne (though how she knows I have no idea because we don't watch it). Really well organised, everything thought of and covered. LadyWayne just told her mother that you deserve a medal - and I concur.
LW hasn't been put off camping completely and she said we can go next year - if it happens.
Tricky, hope you managed to pack everything back into the car. That boy of yours is a dude, looking forward to seeing him on here.
Rhona, hope you all made it on time and managed to bag a benedict (lush).
Becki - hope you guys made it back up the hill. Cottage indeed.
Silv & Happybunny - happy travelling back home.
Jackie - hope you managed to make your connecting train.
Ollie, you are a legend - get some ice on that eye (more on that later).
Maureen - now those were some cakes.
Everyone - thank you for helping us put up the tent, we'd of been even wetter, colder and probably would never go again.
A great, great get together. Thanks from the Family Wayne.A simple dude trying to grow veg. http://haywayne.blogspot.com/

Didn't manage to get many photos on account of being on Bean duty quite a bit, but thought I'd share the one of Ollie I took just before leaving.
I'll leave him to explain....Attached FilesA simple dude trying to grow veg. http://haywayne.blogspot.com/
