The Dogathon - Sponsored Dog Walk!

We are organising a Sponsored Dog Walk in aid of the Helping Heather cause (my sister)

The walk will take place on Bank Holiday Monday (31st May) at 12noon, and is from Red Bank Road to Starr Gate in Blackpool. The walk is just over 4 miles, but you don't have to do all of it if you or your dog can't manage the distance.

Everyone is welcome (whether you have a dog or not!!) but please note, all dogs should be fit and healthy and kept on a normal short lead for the duration of the walk. It is recommended that dogs should be at least 1 year of age if they are doing the entire walk. Walkers must bring water for their dog and poo bags!

If you want to sponsor a walker or attend, please contact Bernie (DexterDogLancashire) or me, OverWyreGrower. We are hoping a local news team will be there to do some filming, and we want to make a splash!

Hi everyone just to let you know that Dexter and myself, and his Aunty Margaret and Samwise will all be taking part in the Dogathon.

Dexter and I are training hard, well I am, hes already got enough practice in. I was worried that I might not be able to keep up with the pace, as I spend most of my day sat on my bum at a desk, but on our practices, with the amount of sniffing and cocking of legs that goes on - Dexter not me! - we will have a pleasant perambulation along the prom. (I've used the word perambulation as Dexter understands the word walk and I know he reads the Vine on a regular basis )

It would be super if any grapes could join us, it would be lovely to meet you -if you can't make it, please, please, please sponsor us.

Just wanted to say THANK YOU to those Grapes who sponsored us on the Dogathon on Monday. We hope to have raised £1100. We had a lovely walk, though Dexy and Auntie Margaret had to give up half way as he was very hot and tired, and (I think) at 9 years old, the oldest dog. For those of you ont'faceache I've posted the photos I took.
