Not the creepy little black-eyed comedian dude, the brilliant and amazing author.

For those that are interested, he has a new book out. I saw it advertised in the Times at the weekend - oddly by Waterstones in one advert for £8.99 (I think) and then a few pages later by WHSmiths for less (can't remember how much for, but I think it was was a voucher).

Anyways, I'll be buying a copy come payday!

I don't know how I've missed this author, thanks Wayne. Would I be better to read one of his previous novels before I buy this one, or t'other way round?

Cloud Atlas is fantastic - though it took me 4 reads to finish it. Well worth the persistence.

Black Swan Green is probably my favourite, but that's because it appears to have been set from the perspective of my best mate - growing up in the 80's and such.

Ghostwritten is probably my least fave, and Number9Dream took me ages to read so probably didn't do it justice (his books can't be read in little snippets before you put the light out at bedtime).

Edit: I'd loan you my copy, but someone else has it on 'long term loan'...

I'll ask around, we tend to share books (bring them in to work when read and leave them on the coffee table in the kitchen for anyone to pick up that fancies) someone will have got it. Cheers.

Ah didn't realise he was the Cloud Atlas bloke. Bought that on a friend's recomendation and didn't get on with it at all. Is one of the very few books I've not finished in my life and am pretty sure it went to the charity shop.
