Well I decided to be different and upgrade my phone to an 8Gb iPhone (As no-one else seems to have them these days! ) and was supposed to receive it at my work address, but as it's on my Dad's account I asked them to put my department on the package as they wouldn't know who Michael Martin was. Of course the instructions didn't get to the courier and reception declined the parcel.
I've spent every day since ringing Orange and trying to sort it out (All of their agents have been very helpful, even though none of them seemed able to resolve the issue until the phone was returned to them).
Well I rang up today and got through to 'Phil', who gave me the same story, but I asked if it was possible to cancel the upgrade and re-issue it as his system showed it as being received back into Orange, but not processed yet.
After checking with his manager they agreed to do this...only to discover it was out of stock. Another discussion with his manager he came back to announce that they'd upgrade me to a 16Gb iPhone and waive the £90 charge!
But that's not enough good fortune for a guy like me, 30 minutes later I got a call off a lovely sounding young lady from Thompson & Morgan in response to an e-mail I sent about the 1 dead raspberry cane I'd received off them out of 3 I purchased. She advised me that she'd send out vouchers to cover the cost of a replacement. After I told her that a second one had since pegged it she altered the vouchers to cover both!
Now I don't mean to hog all the good luck, but if bad things come in threes, do good things too?
