Hooray!

I am so happy. Some of my earlier doubts about my growing capabilities, for the time being at least, seem to be unfounded.

I have a pod on my peas!!! And I am so excited! Have taken a pic but having a few technical issues at the moment!

My spring onions have survived and are thickening up gradually.

My carrots and beetroot seemed to have survived the transplant (which I know I should have sown direct now) and actually seem a bit perkier for this.

Every day there is more greenery poking through the soil on my potatoes!!!

All in all most things seem to be doing well and its making me so excited and chuffed. There have been a few disasters, but nothing major, and the fact that I can grow something is fab! Fingers crossed that they all continue to do well and I can actually harvest something.

I have resolved the technical issues and so here is a pic of my dwarf peas:



Do they look ok? If nothing else I think they look very pretty!

The pea pod that I have at the moment looks flat almost like a mangetout, do you think it will fatten out to give me proper peas?

Well done! I've only just got my first pea flowres today - they are outside and very tall though!

They all start out like a mangetout but thicken up.

Thanks Flummery! I probably didnt say but mine are a dwarf variety of pea (Half Pint) so I think they will stay small, and the packet said they could grow on a windowsill so fingers crossed.
