Congratulations Lettuce It's lovely being a "young" grandparent (I was 42 when my eldest daughter produced her eldest) and now I'm going to be a Great-Grandparent at about the same time as your next generation arrives And yes, I do still act daft with all 10 of the little (and not so little) darlings, I don't intend to stop either
Oh how exciting! I do not want to sound soppy but new life always rings the bell for me. My baby daughter just 17yrs old gave us the most shocking, uplifting and magical realisation that a new generation was about to begin. And, that was just the beginning. Oh lordy lordy what wonders were in store for us.
Congratulations. I was first a Nanny at 44 years old, and now at 60 I have 8 grandchildren. Enjoy!! One of the granddaughters is staying overnight with me tonight (10 going on 25) and she has just got out of the bath saying she's had a lovely time having the bath all to herself and not having to hurry. Bless!!
Congratulations Lettucegrow - it's great fun having grandchildren - all the best bits, fewer painful bits (I won't say no painful bits because you still worry and it can be expensive!). My own DD has 4 children now, but I'm dreading when step-daughter has her first, I don't think OH will take it too well!
Life is too short for drama & petty things!
So laugh insanely, love truly and forgive quickly!
I was just thinking about you...end of November????...what an exciting Xmas you'll all have!
Fantastic excuse to go out and buy a few extra spesh pressies!
"Nicos, Queen of Gooooogle" and... GYO's own Miss Marple
Aaaah! You lot are lovely! Now we've got over the initial surprise I am really quite excited. OH still not feeling it but he had his young and had a really rough time and had hoped she would do a bit of living first. Keep reassuring him that all will be well, could be the making of her. Had to stop myself buying baby grows the other day!
Even more exciting is that she has asked me to be with her, apparently I'll keep her calm. I've always wanted to do be a birth partner, but you can't just invite yourself in, can you?
Yes, Nicos christmas will be really wonderful this year but I'm not asking for one of those long skirts and shawls as pictured! Thanks for that!!!!!
