Madderbat's patent cold cure(s)
No 1 Chicken soup cures everything. See the recipes section and add garlic to help it along - it works.
No 2 lemon and honey - yes, but you've all forgotten the spices.
Take 3 cloves, 1 small piece of cinnamon stick, 1.2" root ginger sliced. put into a pan with 1/2 pint water, and bring to boil. Boil then simmer for 10-15 minutes.
Strain into a mug, add juice of 1/4 lemon, 1 shot(s) of whiskey and tablespoon honey, stir and sprinkle a little pinch ground cinnamon on top.
Repeat if necessary until slumber occurs.
There is also the Scottish cure which involves a bonnet, a bottle and a four poster bed .... put the bonnet at the end of the bed, climb in and drink the whisky until the bonnet moves!
No 3: make some cheese on toast, using 1 whole clove of garlic chopped, covered with cheese and toasted per slice of toast. About three of these and you will feel fine. Colleagues may refuse to work with you next day thought (It really happened to me once!)
