Ck has no interest in gardening at all, he is a real townie! Tells me that the taste of veg from tins is fine but he quite happily consumes large quantities of home grown veg with never a complaint !!!!! He does help with things that need two (when I can find him) but is not given to things practical. The compost he makes is really good and weed free and he spends considerable time collecting horse poo as an activator. I have tried to involve him in the garden but the answer is usually 'do what you like' which is fine but just occasionally I would like some feed back, however I do get some from all of you, thanks. So I will just go on doing my own thing and enjoying the peaceGardening requires a lot of water - most of it in the form of perspiration. Lou Erickson, critic and poet

Now I love the planting out, nurturing, growing, harvesting, growing some more etc...OH is quite happy to leave that to me though complains that I don't weed enough!
I need him to do the heavy work but I often get fed up of waiting for it to get done and injure myself digging or something I shouldn't be doing which puts my back out! At the moment I'm frustrated as I want to get out there and attack the horrible weeds but my hips wont let me and I'm trying not to get annoyed at OH for being what seems like too slow!Rachel
Trying to tame the mad thing called a garden and getting there I think!

I think Kalil Ghibran writes it all very well in this passage from The Prophet.
On Marriage
From each according to his ability, to each according to his needs.
