What a terrible thing to happen, my heart goes out to the families of those dead and injured.
Got a phone call from mother earlier today to tell me SIL is ok 'why shouldn't she be?' says I 'she works in Whitehaven' was the answer. Apparently she and her colleagues were told to stay inside till they were told things are ok. Didn't realise they lived so close to the area it happened.
We live down from Whitehaven, about 35 miles. And have friends living near Seascale. When my pals phoned to see if we were ok (as he was reported heading downwards initialy) we were too worried for them to worry about us.
Feel so sorry for all those involved. So many families whose lives will never be the same again.
Anyone who says nothing is impossible has never tried slamming a revolving door
My thoughts and condelences go out to all families affected. What an awful shock to those living in the area. The news this morning is implying that it could have been to do with an arguement over a will as he shot his twin brother and the solicitor as well. I do hope all Cumbrian grapes are safe and well.
