I think the main reason I like to grow and cook food is because I enjoy eating it so much. Could quite happily eat just plates of fresh veggies straight from the plot.

Some of us live in the past, always talking about back then. Some of us live in the future, always planning what we are going to do. And, then there are those, who neither look behind or ahead, but just enjoy the moment of right now.

Which one are you and is it how you want to be?

I enjoy food. I don't live to eat but I do enjoy cooking and trying new stuff but there are times as well when I don't feel the need .

they're little polish dumplings filled with various things, at the moment my favourite is cheese and potato. You boil them, then fry them, then cover them with the sauce.
Theyr'e basically like little cheese and onion pasties.
I'm having some in a minute
I first had these (actually pelmeni ~ virtually the same thing,) in Moscow in the late 90's, all covered in yummy sour cream sauce. Actually, my memory was that everything was covered in sour cream sauce.

When I came back, I had to learn how to make them. They are basically large raviolli ~ i.e. pasta parcels with a filling. They can be veggi (i.e. potatoes & cheese) or not (the ones I first had were lamb).

They are actually reasonably easy to make once you get the hang of it. They can be boiled then fried, or just boiled. They freeze well, and are a good way of storing up a glut of eggs. My mate and I got a right little production line going one day, froze them, and had many an tasty after pub snack! I much prefer them to the 'fresh' pasta stuff peddled in supermarkets. You don't need a pasta maker or anything flash to make them, just a rolling pin.

So, I'd better stop waffling and answer the question ~ Food, is it worth it?

Yes, yes, yes, yes, yes yes!

            Is food worth it?

When I was little meal times were a special occasion where all the family got together, we talked about our day's and enjoyed wonderful food that Mum had prepared for us.

Now it's me that does the preparing for the OH and myself, we sit and talk about our day, have a glass of something nice and enjoy what we've eaten...

...so is food worth it...too right it is.
