Lots of things springing into action - forgive the pun! Birdies are pairing up, trees starting to blossom (blackthorn and cherry types) although the forsythia still hasn't done anything. I usually reckon to cut branches around Xmas with flower buds showing and open them indoors. Crocuses, daffs, violets and grape hyacinths all in flower. Blackbird sat in the apple tree last night singing goodnight to everyone - it was lovely.

My Plum and Cherry trees have buds on already. Went out in the garden today and a yellow Tulip has blossomed. The Polyanthus, Primula Daffs and Crocus are also all in bloom. Can't quite believe that friday is the 1st of March.

And when your back stops aching,
And your hands begin to harden.
You will find yourself a partner,
In the glory of the garden.

Resurrecting an old thread cos I can't find the newer one The blackbirds are singing, the sun is shining, female blackbird is gathering dried grassy stuff, and the dog has been sitting next to the apple tree (her favourite sunbathing spot) for a good ten minutes. Ages since she spent more time in the garden than absolutely necessary
