    ***** Fluid

I have just opened a new can of ***** Fluid (bought in England) and, to my horror it's changed. Thin, not a lot of smell and when added to water it doesn't turn milky as it used to. When I looked on the side it says 'contains 30% soap'. Why I wonder? Is this supposed to be some kind of improvement? Probably some kind of EEC regulation.

I am not sure that it will do all the things that I used to use it for mainly for the smell. Will the smell be strrong enough to deter the turnip flea beetle and will the 20% solution be smelly enough to send the moles away?

I'm gutted I suppose I will just have to put up with maggots in the turnips!

I'm prepared to look in the pound shop and see if they have any old stock (sometimes happens). If so, will get some for you.

Screw the cap back on and give the tin a good shaking....it may have just went out of solution and settled in the bottom of the tin!

Yep its changed...happend last year....yes it was our "friends" over the channel that did it. If you read the side of the tin you will see that it is now not an insectaside any more....when the new regs came in most of the week killers were with drawn....

Worst bit is it dosent taste as good any more I have to add more brasso now.

Prefer to add melted down boot polish - Kiwi brand is my favourite - has more kick than brasso - and the hangover isn't so bad. It's a bugger trying to clean your teeth next morning though !
