    Jamie also a new restaurant in Cambridge too - it opened about 2 months ago.

    Not been but supposed to be very good. Theres' loads of great places to eat. The Pink Geranium just outside of Cambs is supposed to be very good, someone famous & chefy owns it I think.

          Yeah he is - somewhere near Saffron Walden and his parents still have a pub called the Cricket or something in the village. Dunno why the thread claims him as a Cambridge Bod maybe he went to uni or college there.

          Also just checked out the author's details and she's from Macclesfield which as fair as I know is not local to Cambridge or East Anglia come to that. so........

                  I was going to suggest Sawdays but Manda beat me to it. Reliably good and very nice places. My in laws also use Alastair Sawday all the time and Lord knows they're not easy to please!
