I've been trolling the net for advice without any joy so thought who better than you lot to give me it!![Cool](https://www.growfruitandveg.co.uk/grapevine/core/images/smilies/cool.gif)
I live in free accomodation where I work, having moved here 22 years ago from my own home. I'm now trying to future proof myself by having a bolt hole 'just in case'
I recently got back into the housing market and am buying a house about 20 miles away for when I retire in 10 years time.
It needs a small amount of work and I will probably only be there at weekends to do the work.
What I need to know is what is the cheapest way to pay the gas and electric, which will be used sparsely? Water rates and Council Tax are other considerations I need to make savings on?![Confused](https://www.growfruitandveg.co.uk/grapevine/core/images/smilies/confused.gif)
It has a massive garden which I will leave as grass
.........until I move in!
