If anyones lacking space and incase you haven't all bought them, grabitnow.com are selling those upsidedown strawberry growers for £3.75 each today....I just bought 5, could never resist a bargain!
Hi vixfinn - thanks for the tip - I've been waiting for grabitnow to do this offer again - I also went for the full 5. They arrived today!
Quite simply fed up with providing 'fine dining' for the slugs, snails and woodlice at the expense of never getting a taste-in! Hoping height and where I position the planters will head off next year's onlsaught. If they fail on that count they will make nice planters for other things not susceptible to the dreaded pests. Possibly with slashed openings up the sides if I go for florals or herbals.
Are these the same size as tomato planters I wonder? Was reading some comments about tom planters and some remarked how the teeth at the bottom were rather brittle - my ones nice and flexible so don't anticipate a problem.
My pleasure. Mine arrived today too! Perhaps they are a little smaller than tomato planters? I'm going to attempt a couple with chilli's or peppers in, I think they look plenty big enough!! Enjoy experimenting Quark
