Mine are dying off beautifully - back on the garlic now -but most are horizontal due to the fact the the bladdy cat has taken a liming to sleeping on them.
I am sure they will be fine.
Can't pull mine in 11 days as away, so do I do it before (on weds) and let them dry out in the garage or wait til I get back at the end of June?

I'd wait - just to be on the safe side....or try one and see what it looks like.

My allotment neighbour asked me when her garlic would be ready, I said matter of factually "in about 11 days".

She looked at me as if I was some sort of future seeing veg guru

I hope your right Zaz or I am going to look a right idiot

By my reckoning, 11 days from yesterday and I shall be back home so will be able to harvest on the proper day for once. I am told nothing has gone to seed so things should be ok. Looking forward to seeing how they have come on in my absence.

I can hardly see my garlic. I planted them in troughs on top of a 2' garden wall. Since then the cane fruit have developed in front of them. I have been watching them grow and grow. At the moment the tops are absolutley enormous easily 3' high. I began to wonder is they were all top nothing down below I didn't know that this strength goes back down to the bulb. Cannot wait to know what is going on.
