  • Blog board

As quite a few grapes have blogs, some of which people follow regularly. would it be prudent to have a blog board so thay are all together and easy to find rather than having to find a persons post to get the ink or getting repetitive posts high lighting updates.

It would be quite easy then to see what different people are up to with ease and to make comparisons or even judge planting times for your area by seeing what others are doing.

    Any thoughts?

Everyone with a blog has a signature link advertising it.

Having a blog board is just encouraging bloggers to post their blogs on the board and only return to the Grapevine to post updates and not participate in the actual forum.

I want all members to post and join in with the Grapevine. Everytime a blogger posts their signature is shown. That in my mind is enough. Alot of blogs also carry adverts which means that everytime you view a blog and click on an advert that blogger gets paid.

Yes, a blog board would soon be filled but I really do not think that the Grapevine needs it.

I think it's a great idea! I was searching for someones blog yesterday to have a nose and it was a nightmare searching through everyone else's posts to find the right one!

Maybe you could have a rule that if someone doesn't post regulary you remove their blog from the list?

It is easy to find someone's posts though if there is a particular blog you are following.

You can do a search for their name then find the link that way, or go to the members board and track posts from there. That way you can find the most recent posts by a person too.

It did seem like a great idea Piglet but after reading L Js post I can see maybe there would be problems. If there's blogs anyone really likes to follow, you can save them to favourites and find them from there.

From each according to his ability, to each according to his needs.

I'm with LJ on this....just save the relevent web address for the blog in your favourites section of your web browser.
