Heh, I'm from Derby originally.. Properly here isn't that bad, we moved out of Cardiff last year and saved £70k on the same size house (moving 10mins out of Cardiff).

I do surf in Wales yep, but y'know it's just not the same ;-)

can i suggest France? Altho its a bit wet here at the moment generally ...you can surf (atlantic coast) do all snowy things (Alps, Pyrenees, Massif Central) cycle (anywhere) walk (everywhere) swim (in my back garden ...yeah!)
