Call me a silly old fart, tell me I'm having a mid life crisis, whatever, but we have taken some of our learners to a paintball contest. I haven't had so much fun for ages!!! Running through woods, screaming at the tops of our voices, blasting every one in sight, getting shot to bits! It was fantastic. Has anybody on here ever done anything that they haven't done before, and really enjoyed it!

I had requested a bouncy castle for my 50th birthday, but sadly it did not appear! I think the family thought I had lost it!

Jelly and ice cream for my 40th birthday party. I'd have loved the bouncy castle but we don't have the room indoors and my birthday is at the end of December. I love having children's parties for Miss EB whose birthday is in June. It kind of compensates.

Talking of Bouncy Castles, how's this for pain? One of our learners came to class with 30 stitches inside his mouth and on his gums!!! I asked him if he had been in a fight. He hadn't had a fight, but his younger sister had a bouncy castle for her birthday. He was a skateboarder. Feeling bored with all these little kids about, he decided to take his skateboard up to his bedroom, and see if he could 'Ollie' out of the window onto the bouncy castle. Wincing yet? He hit the bouncy castle, came off the skateboard, which bounced and came straight back into his mouth. He says that wasn't the worst bit. Apparently despite all the blood, his sister collapsed into mad fits of laughter!!!

Well he won't be doing that again in a hurry. I should think you all collapsed laughing at him. That's his street cred ruined. Still it could have been worse.
