  • Ghd??

My daughter is coming over for a 3 day trip, which is coinciding with a wedding.
I bought her flight tickets today, which she duly thanked me for, but then asked if anyone had any GHD's that she could borrow, as she only had a small baggage allowance.

GHD's?? And what might they be in French as well, as I will have to ask if I can borrow some.

Yes I could just ask her but the last line of her email reads:

"Dad, I know you know what GHD's are, everyone knows what they are!!"

Hair straightners! That's what they are, a specific make but there are alternatives that are just as good

I goggled, and came up with Hair straighteners too.

I have straight hair, so wouldn't have a clue!

Hair straightener Boble- the modern equivalent of ironing your hair flat on the ironing board.

I didn't know they were called that until a few weeks ago when 2 lots of visitors have asked if I had any!! ( ME????!!!)

Mrs BM has some and says that I will go before the GHD's will...........She has straight hair but she uses them to curl her hair so they are not only straighteners. They are more hair stylers.

Now that you know what they are, I reckon you'll score some really kool points if you just buy her some to keep at your house Dad
I was feeling part of the scenery
I walked right out of the machinery

Ahhh ok, many thanks all. Will now have to find out what they're called in French, as, no matter how many kool points I may gain, I'm not spending that sort of cash for something that will get used maybe twice a year.

I think Mr Bob it is: UN LISSEUR or maybe Lisseur pour cheveux‎

Massively expensive and if you find your self buying some make sure they have ceramic plates - better for hair.
