Family Wayne spent last week on holiday in Devon (lush part o' the world), and usually when we go away we ask our neighbours if they'd mind tending to the plants whilst we're away - both on the plot and in the garden. We return the favour when they go away. However, this year due to some administrative error, both households were away at the same time.
So, I asked my Mum and Dad if they'd mind watering everything as I was pretty sure it was going to be hot and dry.
Messages got to me that they had been down to the plot and watered etc, so I rested assured that I'd come back to a plot free of wilted dying plants.
What I didn't expect was what greeted me on Sunday morning when I visited the plot.
Yes they'd watered everything, but they'd done so much more.
Cleared a load of weeds for me, tidied up my tools, trays, pots and so on and even left my two usually strewn about the place watering cans, neatly next to each other filled with water!
Clearly, the Devon fudge and pasties we bought back will need supplementing with lunch out in the not too distant future!
Love 'em!
