Think I know what you mean taff! I usually stomp off up the garden, enjoy a bit of a cry, then give myself a good talking too. If I'm not happy I'm usually trying to blame OH/work/OH/kids/OH etc - but my happiness is just down to me, if something's making me unhappy it's up to me to change it/deal with it. . .or have a large drink and see if I can still remember what the problem was when I wake up tomorrow!

Hope you are on the up today Bren and the plants are recovering.

In the light of a new day I realise that all is not indeed lost. In fact, my bedraggled toms and cues are raising their heads and nodding at me..... Only kidding, just a bit enebriated after the g&t's.

I am feeling down at the moment but as comfreyfan say's if you dont like something change it. I am fed up of being the only one who seems to care what the state of our house is in. I am ashamed to ask people in, everthing needs doing, some I could do myself but I think I do everything why should I do it all. But nothing gets done, like this weekend, I worked friday night, slept till 11am met up with my ex's nephew, then took daughter to my sister's, we all then went to watch the rowing, me and daughter had fish and chips, oh cooked for himself, did he clear up the kitchen no, I have just done it as I waited to see if he would clear up. I was on duty in lottie shop this morning and went to lottie this afternoon. Oh is now washing up his lunch boxes from last week and cooking tea.

        and ends with backache

The dumps? I try never to get in there in the first place. I realise how lucky I am in being blessed with the sort of nature that doesn't do despondency. I get cross about things but I try to use that anger to do something positive.

I'm with Flum on this one Bren. Don't get down in the dumps and then you've no need to get out! Most things get sorted out one way or another and there's always another day. Hope your plants are recovering with your TLC. Keep smiling and hope you enjoyed your holiday.

I used to get myself into a right strop and then I realised that the only person I was making miserable was myself cos this lot just ignored me,now I make a huge effort just to let things pass me by

You could buy erm well worn undergarments in vending machines in parts of Tokyo - honest, you couldn't make it up. OH took a photo of one of the machines but can't find the photo for proof

Some of us live in the past, always talking about back then. Some of us live in the future, always planning what we are going to do. And, then there are those, who neither look behind or ahead, but just enjoy the moment of right now.

Which one are you and is it how you want to be?

A few hours of sheep counting usually does it for me ;-)

None of the above work for me, I'm back off to work in about half an hour and I'm properly down in the dumps.

Aw poor Bobble. But, always remember that if you didn't have to go you would miss the thrill of coming home.

I don't mind going to work, or coming home, it's the bit inbetween that's the nuisance, but don't let it get you down Bob!

Reading through this again to try and save my sanity. Everyone's down in the dumps at work - had a week off and came back to hear that they have to make HUGE reductions and will be making up to 60 people redundant. So now not only do I dislike my job I have to be grateful for it while I still have it. Still to look on the bright side, I'd have time for an allotment if I wasn't working!
