In my previous life before coming back to Gods Country, I stuck to the rules. In my life prior to that and the one I am living now, I most definitely bend them as far as I think I can get away with, and sometimes a bit more than that too.

The only time I don't like rules is when the PC brigade get hold of them.Last edited by bubblewrap; 13-07-2010, 06:52 AM.The river Trent is lovely, I know because I have walked on it for 18 years.

These replies are exactly what I had hoped for. I now have a better understanding of your natures.
What prompted me to ask was my OH. If he is the cook for the evening meal we always eat at 6.00 (on the dot). However last night he was about to dish up when he called to me and said "Do you mind if we eat in 30 mins? I have forgotten to take my medicine and it must be taken half an hour before food."
I was gobsmacked. I really don't think he has taken a risk in his life apart from marrying me and I do absolutely everything MY WAY if it doesn't hurt anyone else.

I usually stick with Paganisms main rule " If it harm none, do as you will"
I sometimes rebel against conformity & obedience! My Majesty made for him a garden anew in order
to present to him vegetables and all beautiful flowers.- Offerings of Thutmose III to Amon-Ra (1500 BCE)

I really dont like being told what to do, never have done.
Perhaps thats why I consider myself quite bohemian!Last edited by northepaul; 13-07-2010, 10:46 AM.

Hehe, yep! I actually worry about breaking rules (military upbringing or just neurosis I think! ) far too much, even the little ones.
Did me the power of good that did though - might even try and not walk down all the queue ropes in an empty post office one day!

Some rules I obey (speed limits for example) others I like to know what they are MEANT to be for, and obey the spirit, rather than the letter, of the rule (I supposed that is approximately what someone meant about pink elastic bands, not red tape)Flowers come in too many colours to see the world in black-and-white.

depends on the consequences of the rule for me. If I'm going to into serious trouble for it, probably not!
As a teenage, and even now I still find out that I break rules on a regular basis without even trying but as no serious consequences have been meet, they probably weren't worth making in the first place
