I bought a lipstick a few weeks back whilst doing a load of food shopping - couldn't find the d*mn thing when I got home, searched the car etc etc - a couple of days later when I went to get something out the salad basket thing at the bottom of the fridge the lipstick was nestling in with the cucumber and celery!

Mind you, I don't think that even I could lose the shears in the fridge....?

Put it down to the hormones, Gryfon - my friend was always losing things when she was expecting!

if i put things down and try to find it again i might as well give up.
only today i bought some seeds i swore i put them in the car when i got home could not find the seeds
2 hours later i found them in my coat pocket
i hope this isn't old age catching up on me

I haven't had chance to look for them yet but I'm fairly sure I haven't put them in the fridge

Last time I saw them was around about July/August last year...just before horrible morning sickness and tiredness kicked in and I had no energy at all to do anything in the garden!

GUARANTEED WAY TO FIND THEM - buy new ones. The old ones then turn up exactly where you thought you'd left them. I swear my house has borrowers!

lol. It happens a lot here too. I did catch myself trying to put the kettle in the fridge a while ago and I'm not pregnant. I regularly put things down and can't remember where they are or where they should be. I've stopped looking on the basis that things will turn up eventually and when they are needed. That usually works and I find them when I'm looking for something else. It's that safe place that I have. Someone keeps moving it

When I started weeding my lottie I found all sorts of tools...people had put them down and the plants grown up to cover them. I still find the odd weeding knife stuck vertically in the soil.

I threw my car keys out with the kitchen waste and eventually found them in the garden compost bin months, and £200 of new car keys, later.

The Piglets came to stay early February. Piglette and I went 'shopping' (!) we both bought a packet of Lab-Lab seeds. I put mine in a 'safe place' when we got home, and couldn't find them next day.

So she gave me half her packet (which are growing away lovely thanks sweetheart!). I've turned the cottage upside down since, and I still can't find the damn things..... I blame the cat.
