That reminds me...I bought a blackout blind when our daughter was a baby to stop the light waking her up so early. It cost a pretty penny if I remember rightly and said it was "easy to fit" (yeah right)

I gave it to my OH and went to work...came home...amazing! The blind was up....wait a minute there's gaps here and there.....turns out he had cut it wrongly, and not bothered with the roller bit you pull it up and down with.

Instead he had used double sided sticky tape to seal what bits were left to the window!!

Michael McIntyre is very funny when he talks about men and putting things in the attic....you'd think he was talking about my Oh

Kirsty, sorry but you made me laugh......poor you having to decorate with an injured foot.

No offense to MEN, but they just think differently to us...wont say anymore than that.

I was determined to get it done and its only a smallish room. I like decorating, he helped with putting coving in an awkward corner, but I did the rest. He knows me well enough now to know to leave me to it unless I ask for something specifically and I know to leave him be when he's doing something too.
Once we can afford carpet, we'll lay that together, because two pairs of hands are better for that job and he'll put the batten up for the roman blind I'm going to make as well. I can't drill straight, my holes always go wonky

There is one trick to getting a man to 'do it your way'. Get the notion into his head that this was HIS idea.
You might try getting a fridge magnet (or similar) with the all too true slogan
"If at first you don't succeed, try doing it your wife's way" and putting that in conspicuous place!

I have laughed out loud at some of these replies....so funny and i think we can relate to a lot of them which makes them funnier.

Oh was asking me what i was laughing at....i lied and made up a gardening error...Dont know if he would see the funny side of me posting about him.

You are all brillliant,.....so so funny.

If someone has lost their smile, give them one of yours. :

Children seldom misquote you. In fact they usually repeat word for word what you shouldn't have said

Mine fits all of the above.

What's bugging me just now is we've been back from holiday 2 weeks, I asked him to cut the grass the day after we got back. He didn't because "looked like rain"

Still hasn't because every time I mention it it either "looks like rain" or the grass is "too wet"

You'd think at the age of 50 he'd have realised that this is SCOTLAND, if it only looks like rain, that's your chance to cut the grass.

I thought the dog had jumped the fence the other day, but she was just lying down. You'd think you couldn't lose a German Shepherd in a 5m x 5m garden wouldn't you?
