TV gardening query

I've been asked this question on another forum (not gardening!) and wondered if any of you can remember this? I've tried but can't recall it.

.... we are trying to remember a gardening programme that used to be on Freeview right back in the early days. It was on UK Bright Ideas, and had two blokes who went round in a van doing garden makeovers on a real shoestring. One of the blokes was a cords and barbour wearing type, and the other was a younger bolke who wore jeans and a leather jacket. We think the younger one was called Ryan.
It was ultra-low-budget.

....Can you tell me the name of the programme, or of the cords wearer? OH is sure it was called the Green Room, but I really don't remember it as that.

It was the Green Room and the other bloke was called Simon (was a West country chap) and you got Ryan right.

Ooh er - I remember that programme, Piskie. He had a double barrelled surname but for the life of me I can't remember what. The two of them looked like they enjoyed a good pint of scrumpy as well...

I don't know which other forum you were asking on pisk', but scoring a correct answer in 6 minutes pretty much sums up why I love the folks on the grapevine!
