Yep, had the heating on at times today to 'drive off' the damp in the air and the open fire is lit last night & tonight! No point in being too miserable in high summer! Pah!

No heating on yet, but at home these last couple of days, I've needing to wear sweatshirts and stuff to keep the chill off. But I did put the heated towel rail on when having a bath, as there was no way the towel would be air drying.

I don't have a set month for putting the heating on, I like to be cosy and warm and if that means paying for heating in August, then that's what I'll do. Not that I feel it will come to that just yet, as I'm still opening the windows fully when the rain stops and the sun pops out.

Not quite we did get No1 son to suck an extra strong mint and stick his tongue out so we could warm or hands up.

Bladdy close - it's been miserable here. Dry yesterday and so far this morning, but it's very windy and feels cold. Hoping the sun will come out and warm things up a bit.

Blimey, I'm still opening windows when I get in to get a bit of fresh air into the house. Heating won't be on for a good few months (think it was the start of Nov last year) but I did almost pass out when I popped round MIL's the other day, was heated to tropical levels in her house!

OH will want the heating on before me as he believes that it should be warm enough to wear shorts even in January whereas I like to get good wear out of my jumpers. However do get very cold at work where I don't move much (sat at a desk a lot) and the air con can be a bit severe.

Put the thicker duvet back on the bed last night and must admit during the mega thunder storm yesterday put on the heating as it went really cold.

Nope; sorry. We bought a new quilt 3 weeks ago, the lightest tog you can get I think - and we're still snug at night.

We just put jumpers on if it's a little cool. The girls at work are also complaining about the chill in the air, but I'm always getting up and going for 5 minutes outside when I can get a chance.

Well, it's horrible here at the moment. Dark and windy and looks as if it may rain, but I am not putting the heating on. Actually, I'm not cold at the mo. If I get a bit chilly I shall wrap my blankie round me.

Wow was really hot and sunny up here yesterday - had to go out the polytunnel as I felt unwell as it was so hot. Nice today too but unfortunately back in work so can't enjoy it Gives rubbish for the rest of the week though so will be moaning it's autumn by mid week

I am at an age where I have iintermittent waves of heat come upon me so I'm ok for now.
We usually put it off as long as possible and since moving to this modern (built in 1966) house with double glazing its WONDERFULLY warm... no character mind, (I'm envious of you people with wood burners, how I would love one)....but you can't have everything. I do remember the freezing temperatures of our Victorian basement flat and shudder at the memory.

We should have a competition! S/He who wins can give 15% of what they save to Charity... that would be an incentive.
