Haven't seen the last one yet as I recorded it last night but already know who won as it was mentioned on the TV earlier but had thought Dick would get it but actually quite liked all the last 3 and was glad when the actor guy (can't remember his name now as had never seen him in anything) got knocked out from the last four as thought he was the weakest but had thought he'd go through as his food was more arty farty which they often seem to like.
Some of us live in the past, always talking about back then. Some of us live in the future, always planning what we are going to do. And, then there are those, who neither look behind or ahead, but just enjoy the moment of right now.
I agree, me and the OH were supporting Dick to win all the way. Didn't warm to Lisa, perhaps that is why I didn't want her to win. But to be fair she seemed to make the least amount of mistakes.
I echo the thoughts about Neil, couldn't stand his arrogance.
I think, based upon their demonstrated cooking skills, Dick should have won, with Christine second and Lisa somewhere about tenth.

I think we must have been watching a different show because we thought Lisa had excellent skills AND an excellent pallet and made far less mistakes than either of the other 2 but I really wanted Christine to win. .
At the end of the day we can all have an opinion as to who should or should not have won, based on percieved skills (remember a lot of things are edited out/in for dramatic effect) and which food LOOKED best but only those tasting the finished product can vote on that and as Greg and John got to see, hear and taste everything, then they are, surely, better placed than us to judge the performances overall.
I too thought that Lisa's food looked good enough to eat but when I read that she had only ever made a christmas cake before I began to wonder where have I gone wrong.

I don't think we watched different programmes, but we based our judgment on the whole of the series rather than the final.
Earlier on in the series, there was a programme where Lisa really should have been voted off.
From there on in she was a pain, she pannicked, turned on the waterworks and compared with the others was crap. She needed help with everything she did.
The Thursday before the final was the programme where the three finalists had to cook for five Michelin starred chefs, in the kitchen of a Michelin starred chef. Lisa's dish was the only one that the chefs rated 'inedible'
Christine and Dick showed far superior capabilities.
Lisa was dreadful. Her turning on the waterworks so frequently must have got her the sympathy vote with Greg and John.
I do have an address to write to John Torode, and I shall ask him to justify his result.

Blimey - have I missed something, wasn't it just an entertainment show so does it really matter who won?
