Veggies, no competition although I would (as I already do) choose varieties which have pretty flowers - you can get a lot of pleasure from pea and bean seeds and I love the bright yellow of courgette flowers. And that's before we even mention the beauty of a bed of different types of brassicas, all those different colours and textures...........
Some of us live in the past, always talking about back then. Some of us live in the future, always planning what we are going to do. And, then there are those, who neither look behind or ahead, but just enjoy the moment of right now.
Which one are you and is it how you want to be?

And there was me thinking you were going to ask me something hard like choosing between my children! Or chocolate and wine...
I choose veg as they can always be left to set seed and flower - best of both worlds... and you get some very ornamental vegetables

Veg., no contest. Apart from the main edible reasons, I really like the constant change and renewal of veg gardening. Perennials, while a lot of them are lovely, annoy me with their permanence
Although I must say, there's no reason why anyone should *have* to choose - even in a little space you should be able to mix the two things together. Tall peas mixed with sweetpeas, alongside runner beans and clematis, etc..
