3rd wedding anniversary - erp!

Forgot about this, it's tomorrow. Hohum.

On a mad rush to find something suitable (going for the traditional leather approach)... have thought about a handbag, and i'd like to get her a decent one - so you ladies... what's decent? I've seen quite a nice Radley one, is that a decent one? I've no idea what is reasonable too, so in terms of cost I've no idea.. I had a ballpark figure of around £100-£200 to spend on her, and this bag is in the middle, but I don't want to be ripped off if it's not a decent bag?!

she has a few handbags, but none are really nice - has a couple of clutches, so don't really want to buy her one of those because she doesn't really use them - only if she goes out (which isn't that often really!). No idea if it helps but she's 28

So erm, yes.... any pointers would be appreciated! TIA!!!

This may not have escaped your attention but I'm not a laydee.
I am, however, a dad to a bag loving daughter, and I bought her a Radley bag for her 21st, one with a small purse thingy inside it.
I think I paid about 125 of the queens finest for it, she still has it, still uses it often, in fact it was her bag for the wedding we both just went to.

If it wasnt for my daughter's knowledge I would probably say Harrods carrier......

Handbags are such a personal thing. I've been given them in the past, and hated them. I'd say don't buy a handbag!

Get her a bottle of her fave perfume, so she has sommat to unwrap, and tell her to choose a handbag!

Well, I'd initialyl planned on a bottle of Imperial Leather like... she may not appricate my humor tho! ;p I'd thought about perfume, but she has loads,.......... man, women. So bloomin difficult!

Ok- my instant thought would be to Google a pile of piccies of fun handbags and print them off- the stick them onto a card to make a collage...then enclose a pile of tenners- then book the day off work ( if you can)..and ask her to - then spend the day together to go and get the bag of her choice- followed by lunch...and then whatever else you know she'd like to do!

Oh yes- I'd have loved the talc bit!!!

My OH and I , since we started to go out together- and continued every year since- have 3 days hols booked.
One for my b'day, one for his, and one for our anniversary. Always spend them together- and have never missed
It's our spesh time together.

I wouldn't fling a Radley back at anyone, but Nico's idea is probably a good one, so Mrs chrismarks can have some input.

On the leather theme, Mr R recently bought me a Dulwich stacked jewellery case. You can buy the sections separately, so you can sort of create your own preferred box. Have a quick google to see what I mean.

Depends on whether she likes bags or not. Personally I think that Radley bags are quite nice but would never buy one as I don't want to spend that sort of money on something which just carries other stuff - I know there are many more expensive ones but they're just not worth it to me but then again I don't really do labels. I've thought about doing the relevant gifts for each wedding anniversary but failed somewhat and we just tend to give each other a small (maybe £5 ish) token present which suits us much better and then either go out for a meal or cook something special together. Works for us but neither of us like the extravagent gesture so as I say it depends on the person / couple Happy anniversary for tomorrow anyway.

I have no idea about this sort of thing.. so yep, gone with the Nicos idea, well will be doing Booked day off, will take her out to a nice country pub I think! Then over into Cardiff to do a bit of shoppping.

With winter approaching you could always get a nice pair of leather gloves? I think that is was I got the current Mrs P way back when.

She has had all sorts of gifts over the years as we agreed early on not to spend too much on each other and have a bit of fun (if we could). In year two she got a picture Dot Cotton, Natalie Wood's autobiography for 5 years. A nodding sheep for our 7th (wool) and this year for 11 she received Danielle Steele's book called The Wedding.

She has had all sorts of gifts over the years as we agreed early on not to spend too much on each other and have a bit of fun (if we could). The fun and tenuous links thing is definitely worth doing (plus there are usually two options depending on which list you find); it gets very entertaining sometimes. I've done whisky for copper and Superman comics for steel for the ones that I can remember that is. Oh, and everything in tins for tin was quite fun.

It's just remembering ours I find hard...

A promise to clean the lav. every day for a year would do it for me!

I can only remember the first four; Paper, Cotton, Leather, Flowers.
