After my original throw away line, I have done a quick calculation and can provide the following:

    About a hectare of garden.
3 bathrooms in the house, with the possibility of a 4th being added before the event.
2 caravans (cuts cross channel costs) sleeping 2 adults each (small kid could be squeezed in).
    Huuuuuuge BBQ.
I could probably run some electric cables to caravans.
Fantastic hospitality (clearly Mme Pastis, not me).
I could probably sleep a family of 4 in the games room.
Some real live Froggerlertos, as they would hate to miss a party.
The freedom to make as much noise as you like without fear of upsetting anyone.
Thinking on my feet, if people wanted to fly, I could arrange pick up as well, as if its just one or possibly 2 of you, its usually the cheapest way to get here.

Yes ferry costs are disgusting, but I have a special number which can make them slightly cheaper. If it was to happen, would be a lot of cash to come over for just a couple of days, so you could base yourself chez moi and do as you pleased for as long as you wanted.

    Thats all for now!

ETA, "as long as you wanted" does have a time limit of course!!

Sounds amazing Bob. Definately worth considering.

We just got back yesterday from a few days camping at Filby...near caister...managed a couple of beach visits inbetween the rain...lovely beaches.(just a bit scarey when we ventured as far as Yarmouth...couldn't get out quick enough)

Sounds like a plan Bob. I would certainly be able to come to that one. Just bought a tent a couple of months ago and I'm not afraid to use it!

I'l be one of the Left Behinds (that sounds like a physical defect of the fundament dunnit?) as my elderley Ma needs more attention these days. My sis, who lives with her, is our 'chicken wrangler' for holidays and it's getting more and more difficult to feel I'm leaving it all to her.

                    One day, mebbe?

All of you who are going have an ab-fab time - well done to those organising - and we'll try and enjoy ourselves back here and hold the fort until you tell us of your adventures and new (in-person) friendships next week.

Have a great weekend everyone - home or away!

Bob- you might regret that offer next year when you have 30 'grapes' turning up on your doorstep!
Hope everyone has a great time this weekend, no chance of me ever coming as I'm extremely shy & have never been camping in my life either!
Weather sounds as though it should be fine, just a slight chance of showers tomorrow but generally I think you'll be sunbathing not ploughing through mud in your wellies!
