Chris- it could be worse....I'm being 'dragged' to a wedding next weekend.
        Someone at my OH's office.
Won't know a sole there...I'm driving- over an hour each way- starts at 10am and goes on until the silly hours of the morning and we'll be expected to stay...and apart from my OH I'll be the only Brit there

( and nope my French isn't up to 16hrs of conversation with complete strangers)

We are having a BBQ tomorrow (please come out sun!!) and then on Sunday I will be working hard on my new plot of land. I recently secured a large unused garden across the road from where I live (found it on landshare) so have lots of digging and bed designing to do. Luckily all the recent rain will have softened the soil somewhat... I hope! We started on the first bed last Sunday and the soil was very hard, but full of fat juicy worms so definitely a good sign!

I want to plant out the brocolli & cabbage seedlings I have been growing in my little outside space and also plan to sow a few nantes carrots and kohl rabi as mini veg in time for Christmas.

Monday I am heading down to the pub to indulge in some delicious food and a well earned drink! Have a great long weekend everyone.

Think i will be sitting in a corner rocking!!!
We have had builders in all week and they have found all sorts of bodges by a previous numptee who came in, including live wires, dodgy plumbing, wasps nests etc... etc...
Our kitchen floor is like an extended indoor veggie bed as dug down to a foot below the damp proof currently!! We have dust in every nook and cranny of the house and us too it feels, no kitchen, no washing machine, nowt.
Yes i know i wanted it done but it never really looks that bad until you are living with it.
So Monday i am going to spend some time clearing up in what is left of my garden!!! Looking forward to going back to school, give me kids shouting and playing over a jack hammer any day.
Perhaps I should move this entry to the rant thread!!!!

Is it another Bank Hol already? OH is at the footy Saturday, I'm trying to sew a holiday wardrobe for a holiday that prolly won't happen. The lotty is a foot high in weeds, and I can't be arrised to do it all again. I might stay in bed and sulk at the weather.

edit: Sat morning and the sun is shining - that can't be right.

Got friends coming up for the weekend and then loads more coming over on Sunday for a birthday BBQ. Taste tested the first bottle of elderflower champagne the other day and it was lovely so we have bottles of the stuff lined up for quaffing. Am thinking of trying some strawberry vodka in it too as I have a feeling that may be rather tasty. Tomorrow will be spent cooking and preparing so I won't be too hectic when people turn up.

Some of us live in the past, always talking about back then. Some of us live in the future, always planning what we are going to do. And, then there are those, who neither look behind or ahead, but just enjoy the moment of right now.

Which one are you and is it how you want to be?
