Well i hope to be doing some much needed tidying up in the garden this weekend. The weather has been pants the last few weeks and combined with having other commitments at the weekends and having a stinking cold it has all got into a rather large mess! Need to do lots & lots of weeding, dead-heading, cutting back, seed sowing, potting-on, grass cutting etc. Not to mention that i also have plans to move the 2 compost bins to the other side of the garden, make a new flower bed and a new veg bed, strimming needs doing too.

What's the bets that i don't complete anything off that list!!!???

Won't know a sole there...I'm driving- over an hour each way- starts at 10am and goes on until the silly hours of the morning and we'll be expected to stay...and apart from my OH I'll be the only Brit there

( and nope my French isn't up to 16hrs of conversation with complete strangers)
I'd suddenly have got measles or something I know how you feel though, as I'll be the only English person there, the rest all Welsh

Didn't get to see this until today. I bet no-one will guess what I did while at the village fete! (not our village, we went to one we'd seen advertised, about 30 miles away, because of an 'added attraction', and I got a bit more out of that than expected)

You got to snog a famous gardener who was opening it? You won the nobbly knees competition (joking, I'm sure your knees are beautiful!)? You won the biggest pumpkin competition? I give up!

None of those Sue (but good try!). I'm not telling until next time I manage to get here, so others can guess.....
One BIG clue, a lot of little boys (of all ages) will be jealous!

                            I drove a TRAIN!!!!
Not a very large one, and not very far, but a real steam train, I think it was 10" width track.
They were doing rides at the fair we went to (one longish seat, takes up to 4 adults), and we went over when things were starting to wind down. The owner asked if I would like to drive it, so I said YES!! and get instructions.
