    Will,
Trousers and I are not as fortunate as the other Grapes, in that we joined this forum too late to have the honour of knowing your mum.
She was clearly a very special person to these Grapes, and I'm sure, your very favourite Mum. I'm so sorry for your loss Will, and I hope that with the support of every special person around you, that you will be able to cherish her memory in everything that you do, for the rest of your life, knowing that she is very much with you, every step of the way.
    Our love to you,
    Shelley and Paul

Will, I am so sorry to hear of your Mums passing. I am glad that it was peaceful. I didn't know her, only through the Vine, I am sure that she was a wonderful Mum and you will miss her. The pain will lessen as time goes by.

      Thinking of you

Reading all the tributes to SS makes me disappointed that I came to the vine too late to know her - my condolences to you, Will.

Sarah, I can only marvel at the way you inspired all of us whom your presence touched, it was a gift you had and one you used wisely.

Sarah, I hope to meet you again in the future, but not just yet, not just yet. God Bless.

            Nothing Gold Can Stay

            Nature's first green is gold,
            Her hardest hue to hold
            Her early leaf's a flower;
            But only so an hour.
            Then leaf subsides to leaf.
            So Eden sank to grief,
So dawn goes down to day.
            Nothing gold can stay.

Hello Will, can I offer you my deepest sympathy for your loss, and thank you for taking the time in the midst of your grief to let us know about Sarah's passing. I have put a link here to a writing I have always found comforting. If it doesn't help right now, I hope it will at some time in the future.

My condolences to you and your family Will.

At the going down of the sun and in the morning we will remember them.
There comes a point in your life when you realize who matters, who never did, who won't anymore and who always will. Don't worry about people from your past, there's a reason why they didn't make it in your future.

                    Will, my condolences.

These poor fumblings are the best I can manage to express my thoughts.

Like many grapes I knew Supersprout only fleetingly from chunks of text and enjoyed just one "conversation" with her, but from those words her kind nature shone forth.

I believe that your mum tried to improve the world where she was and beyond, this world is a better place for her having been in it. A good gardener tends to a wider plot than that in which their plants grow and through her electronic gardening your mum tended to a plot that stretched across the country and beyond.

Supersprout has found peace and respite from pain, do not grieve for her, but celebrate her memory and through you she will live on in many ways.

What can i say, just so saddened to hear of her passing. She will be in all our thoughts as will you, even though we never met you.
God give you the strength to get through the difficult days ahead.

In the glory of the garden.

This poem was read out at my best friends funeral. I think it expresses what we all want to believe at such times.
Do not stand at my grave and weep
I am not there. I do not sleep.
I am a thousand winds that blow.
I am the diamond glints on snow.
I am the sunllight on ripened grain.
I am the gentle autumn rain.
When you awake in the morning's hush
I am the swift uplifting rush
Of quiet birds in circled flight.
I am the soft stars that shine at night.
                          Do not stand at my grave and cry;
I am not there. I did not die

All of us on the Grow Your Own team are deeply saddened to hear this news and send our condolences to Sarah’s friends and family. Our moderators tell me that her support and encouragement made Supersprout a truly valued – and much-loved – member of the Grapevine. Her advice was so highly regarded she was crowned our member of the month, and had been earmarked as an expert for the magazine. She will be sorely missed.
