Perhaps we could organise a group trip for the Frenchies to UK too

I am totally ignoring the 9 months suggestion.....

Airports that I will arrange collection from:

          Rennes
          Nantes
          Brest (tee hee, smirk)
          Dinan

I can also arrange collection from St Malo ferry terminal should peeps wish to come across as foot passengers, or could possibly tie that in with Nicos who could collect some peeps from Caen before heading down??

Frenchies group trip to Englandshire sounds good to me too. The Scareys could come to mine the day before, as its a bit of a drive...

Sounds like a plan Bobble - I could collect from airports or ferry too if I get there early enough.

My son drove a hired minibus in February, 17 seater. As far as I know he doesn't have anything special by way of a driving licence. It may vary from one company to another.
My OH doesn't much like going anywhere on a Bank Holiday (too many other people doing the same) but France might be a better option, if we can take the dogs..... (yes they have passports)

Dogs more than welcome chez moi. I have my own fella and Mme Pastis has hers too.
There is no real danger of passing cars, I rarely see a vehicle from one day to the next, but there are a lot of beasts in the fields (farming country) so badly behaved hounds will need to be controlled on chains etc as I dont want to upset my farmer neighbours.

Just as a rough guide if you want to start saving up. Flights are coming in around £250 per person. Ferry crossing from Calais to Dover car + 3 passengers (just an example) £85. Just to give you an idea.

just ideas at the moment .... there will DEFINITELY have to be one in the uk as well, as theres a lot of people who don't have passports and the cost of getting there will be far too expensive, hence the fairly central making it fair for everyone ideas. .....
