We camped here last year, end of May BH. It was a lovely setting and very reasonable. They also took a Duke of Edinburgh Group at the same time we were there, so do big groups. Plus there is a B&B for those that don't want to brave the tent. If you booked up in advance or I could make enquiries it may be possible to have it exclusively.

    Cherry Orchard Farm

Plus it has a very apt name.

P.S its in the wye valley/Forest of Dean

P.P.S There is a pub called the Ostrich Inn within walking distance. We used to go up, have a couple of pints of the local cider and merrily walk/amble back.

Lovely place for anyone wanting to camp in the area.

Re the hounds, should anyone want to bring their dogs to Raisinstock there is a local vets. I'm sure, if there were a few dogs that needed to be given their jabs, he could be persuaded to pop in on the Sunday for an hour or so.

Oh good. Just thought it ought to be mentioned (because I only thought of it just then concerning our 2, and we have travelled to Spain with them every year for at least 5 years now! I've actually lost count of how many times we've done all that stuff)

Yup, I did it too for years before moving across. Not complicated, and even if it was, its so worth it to have the beasts with you on your hols.

Funny that... I was just thinking that if we had an army of garden slaves, sorry... willing Grapes.... we'd have the massive slab of concrete we've got to remove, broken up in no times...

So, Grapestock 2 at mine and ScottishNewbie's then??
