I know it's boring but as it is such a warm evening, I was sat in my fav spot and felt I should share it with you. Do you also have a fav part of your garden where you just sit & put the world to rights?

Warm evening? I was bundled up in a blankie on the sofa then early to bed I was so cold (got wet feet cycling to school in the heavy rain, had to wear paper towels in my shoes all day)
But ... my favourite spot is in my hammock, with the guinea pig hutch next to me (it's a convenient height for books, glasses and snacks). The hammock wasn't out much this year and the parasol not at all.All gardeners know better than other gardeners." -- Chinese Proverb.

I love the hammock idea but can't for the life of me imagine mastering the art of getting on & off. Getting off maybe a little easier.........sigpic“Gorillas are very intelligent, but they don't have to be as delicate as chimps -- they can just smash open the termite nest,”

This is my space to think, relax, chill out, listen to the trickle from the pond with a glass of wine and a fag.Attached FilesYou have to loose sight of the shore sometimes to cross new oceans

I know it doesn't look like much in the first picture....
But the views from there are quite spectacular.Attached FilesA garden is a lovesome thing, God wot! (Thomas Edward Brown)

Thank you, it didn't look like that when we first moved here but we always used to stand on the corner looking out over the "wilderness" to think (usually with a glass of wine in hand)
I can tell you though, that we have lived in some dire places where we dare not go out in the evening and it would be too noisy to think even if we couldA garden is a lovesome thing, God wot! (Thomas Edward Brown)

I do, but I cant show you the photo's as I'm in work.
At the front of my house, hidden away behind the garage is my pond. Its quite a large thing, and as far as I can tell its a natural thing, a hole has been dug out over the years and land drains put in the front garden to feed it.
There is a biiiiiiiig Weeping Willow, as well as a lime (not fruit one) tree which shield it from view, and its completely invisible from outside the grounds of my house.
I love to sit there on warm summer evenings and fish for the carp that are in there, all arrived naturally it would seem.
I have seen tons and tons of wildlife in and around it, from newts to owls to snakes to various aquatic fowl.
I have my own breeding couple of moorhens that come every year to nest, and for me its just the most magical place to be.Bob Leponge

Sit sideways on it, with your bum getting in, your hands out to your sides hanging on. Then lean back and swing your legs up: it's easy. You can't fall out either, even if you try to spin it upside down (you can't). I love 'em.All gardeners know better than other gardeners." -- Chinese Proverb.

Actually I have two fave places. First is sat inside my lottie shed and second is sat under the lean to next to the garage, where the original shed was when we moved in. You know that good, peaceful feeling? Well thats what I get when I sit in these two places.................Bernie aka DDL
