Can I assume that the person concerned was banned for something other than what they originally posted as there post doen't seem to be particularily defamatory to me? Or had the email address they gave when signing on been used before by a banned individual?
My answer to the original question would be that gardening is seasonal so post numbers go up and down with the seasons!
Many times Snadge. Fortunately, he upset so many people the first, second, nth time round that alot of Grapes are 'on the button'.
Most forums have busy periods and then lean periods, especially those which are seasonally (or as in the case of my OH - landy rebuilding type forum - financially) led.
Unfortunately ALL forums also have their share of trolls, who appear to have nothing better to do with their time than to try and undermind the sense of community, support and friendship which they are obviously totally unable to appreciate - quite sad really.
Can't we keep the naughty troll to have as a 'debating' pet with now it's fairly easy to recognise or does the stinky creature go beyond a bit of grape 'baiting' to just plain nasty and personal?
It does seem to get a bit unpleasant to anyone asking what it considers to be a 'stupid' question, and doesn't seem to like anyone else having an opinion which is different to theirs either. Bit daft on a gardening forum where a few ways of doing things is usually helpful

Ah! Pwobabbly why they have no friends, live under bridges and chase goats for a hobby then.

We did for the first few times - it was quite entertaining - but then the naughty troll got nasty.

They are easily found on other fora; should you wish to have a little look around.
These other fora aren't quite as street wise as our Grapes though - so it gets longer stays of execution and upsets considerably more people than we allow.
Gives me a chance to use one of my favourite pics though!
I was feeling part of the scenery
I walked right out of the machinery
My heart going boom boom boom
"Hey" he said "Grab your things
I've come to take you home."
Te he...what I think is amusing is that the whole idea of a troll is to disrupt the forum...here it seems to have exactly the opposite affect!!!!
Brill or what eh??
"Nicos, Queen of Gooooogle" and... GYO's own Miss Marple
They went to pubs and annoyed people by standing by the quiz machines and answering the questions incorrectly and breathing stinky breath all over them.

Or riding public transport all Winter, coughing and spluttering over everyone.
